National Public Radio’s annual Music Poll was released overnight with some interesting selections in the list. Given it’s a US-based poll, it’s naturally biased toward US acts.
My pick for album of the year, Sigur Rós’ Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (or in English, With a Buzz in Our Ears We Play Endlessly) makes #10 on the list, edged out by one vote by Coldplay.
Nick Cave comes in at #29 and Cut Copy at #55, (the only Australians on the list by the look of it) – The Presets haven’t cracked the US yet, but it’s just a matter of time.
